Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives an increase in linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle six items at one time to gauge each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items increases with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be done through a number of means such as using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark level or rarity. In addition, many items can be reforged, which can boost their stats even more.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available all over all over the world and are rewards for missions. Players can also make them. The primary method to upgrade gear is through the use of upgrade components, which are the items that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has slots to upgrade, and many require a certain amount of upgrade. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others offer an overall bonus.

There are several types of upgrade elements in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments can be placed on any equipment, and offer less than equipment-specific upgrades. Glyphs can only be placed in gathering tools, and provide a variety of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to supplying additional crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, simply select it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen. It will display the expected statistics after the upgrade. If you don't have enough of either, the Upgrade button will say Blocked.

The number of upgrade components required for a given item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level and rarity of the item. However, you can reduce the cost of upgrades by purchasing them from a vendor, or trading them with other players.

The majority of weapons can be upgraded by a prefix such as a rune, or an insignia. Other weapons can be enhanced with the suffix. These upgrades add an adjective to the item's name, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a powerful instrument for communicating visual information. They animate in order to draw the attention of the viewer and entice curiosity. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language, making them more effective in conveying a linguistic barrier-crossing message. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, which increases retention of the message.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by certain amount. This is displayed on the item's page when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is not the exact amount at which glyphs can improve the stat, but rather the maximum value by which it can increase a stat. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the quality and tier of the item you're in awe of it.

The majority of upgrade components that are installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If, however, you have a rune or glyph that has not yet been incorporated into your gear, you can move it to another piece of gear by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.

You can take out a glyph by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item level upgrade where the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be salvaged using the glyph shards.

If you take an item off after putting a glyph on it, the shards from the glyph will disappear. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to give it a bonus. Deferred Damage, for example can be used to store damage and then be dealt slowly to the wearer rather than all at one time. This can be helpful for those who take many hits from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes on their equipment and weapons, and can be found in various ways like mistery boxes, as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or from killing bosses. Each reroll gives the player a random affix that is generally better than the one they had before. Reroll tokens can also be used to improve weapon stats to cause more damage or bonuses.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the item level upgrade upgrade menu, however, they can still receive upgrades. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button, which changes the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is by the rarity of the item and also its level. Therefore, higher-leveled items are more valuable to recycle than those with lower levels.

In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to reroll the traits of a weapon in an upgraded unit. A reroll will roll the % chance of a weapon trait; if it rolls higher, the weapon will be upgraded, and if it is lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to 3 times.

Rerolls are a good option for upgrading an item, however, players must be aware that it can reduce the overall ilvl the weapon based on the number of rerolls used to raise it to its final ilvl. This reduction effect is most effective with Diadems and rings that do not have any alternatives to raise their ilvls.

The system of rerolls has been criticised by players as being too expensive and it's more equitable to let players pay for it using money or a food item that would allow players to alter their build without a lot of time and effort. The developers aren't planning to implement paid rerolls at this point in the game's development. They're planning to include the ability for players to change their race in the future.

Leveling

There are many ways to level up an upgrade to an item. The most effective method to level up an upgrade to an item is to increase the amount of upgrade. This increases the value of upgrading the stat. The alternative is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which boosts the healing or damage for the stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. Once this is done the new item will retain its iLevel but it will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded item type.

It is important to remember that upgrades are not guaranteed. Most of the time the Best item upgrader roll will result from glyphs, however there are also chances for higher or more special rolls. Additionally the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the type of item, so should you upgrade a rare or unusual item to a unique type it will have a chance to gain a higher iLevel.

Upgrades to items can be costly, particularly when you're upgrading an item of equipment from the standard to the legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on the base iLevel and the amount of upgrade levels. Certain upgrade tracks require crests to reach the next level.

If you're lucky the upgraded item will be at the highest level of its upgrade track, and will unlock an additional bonus effect. This will give you a substantial increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level though. Generally speaking the effect of upgrading is increased by a factor of +3.

The iLevel can also change according to the upgrade path and base level. For example an item upgraded from being a rare or unique item to an exceptional one can be expected to gain the Enhanced Defence of the new base item.
