It's also a little erratic when it returns to the charging station following the course. Other robots can follow the wall or trace the previous route however the RX3 is a mess until it gives up.

We also encountered issues with the smart features of the device, namely its mapping feature and the digital stay-out zones. While it did a good job of avoiding our furniture legs and shoes however, it was easily stuck by cables and socks, and was unable to handle the tassels on rugs. This is the reason we decided not to include it in our best affordable robot vacuum Buy list. With a decent price and impressive performance it's a Scout RX3 is worth considering when you're looking for an alternative to traditional uprights.
